Being a solo practitioner doesn’t mean going it alone, there is a rich wealth of knowledge in the community to work with and learn from. This event will let people learn some of the tips, tricks, best practices and advice from seasoned professionals. These experts will share their experiences to anyone looking to start their own business or freelance in public relations.

The experts on our panel are:

Carolyn S. Green

In addition to being the PRSA St. Louis President in 2009, Green is a strategic communication consultant who helps clients connect more efficiently with unique and hard-to-reach audiences. She started as an independent consultant and then incorporated C. Green & Associates, Inc. in 2013. The company works with health care, aviation, business and PR/design/production firms to summarize complicated materials for general audiences, including executive speech writing, specialty publications and video scripts.

Kelly Ferrara

President and owner of StratCommRx, will be one of the local experts in attendance at our Solo Practitioner Panel May 29! Kelly wields more than 20 years of experience in communications consulting for her clients. To put what she does in plain language: Kelly and her team connect audiences with messages. She opens doors so that companies and organizations understand who they want to reach and what they want to say. She then guides them through a process to determine how they want to say it and why their audiences should pay attention.

Will Becker

Will is an accomplished media relations professional with a record of success promoting clients across multiple media platforms. Will founded Becker Media to help businesses increase their brand awareness and achieve growth through strategic storytelling and media relations. He has more than 20 years of experience as a marketing and communications professional with practice in media relations, crisis communications, advertising, social media and web development.

Liz Sharpe-Taylor
