Handling Sexual Harassment in the Media

April 26, 2018
8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Missouri Baptist University
One College Park Drive
St. Louis, MO 63141

As a PR professional, are you prepared to represent your company or a client in a sexual harassment case? Have you ever been sexually harassed? Has someone in your organization been accused of sexual harassment?  This full-day PRSA St. Louis symposium will give you professional perspectives on how to effectively understand and manage sexual harassment claims from the accuser side, as well as from a corporate/organizational crisis management side.

Learn how PR and HR professionals, the Police Department and prosecutors handle cases of sexual harassment. Hear firsthand from Harvey Weinstein accuser, actress Katherine Kendall (originally from Memphis) as she tells her personal story and the challenges she struggled with in breaking her silence in the media.

From a PR pros perspective, learn important crisis communications skills, including how to master the ability to effectively represent a victim and the accused in sexual harassment cases. In addition, you’ll learn best practices for breaking a story in today’s 24-hour news cycle.

Plan to stay for the whole symposium! Our last session of the day will focus on the medias’ decision-making process of determining which stories of sexual harassment to cover. The conversation will also cover the release of information surrounding Governor Greitens issues currently in the media.

*LIMITED SEATS AVAILABLE so reserve your spot today!*

A very special thank you to our hosting sponsor!
