Join St. Louis’ PR, Marketing and Advertising community at Weber Shandwick St. Louis for a discussion on the evolving role of PR professionals in managing reputation risk in the age of anxiety and “fake news.”

Executives from Weber (Dave Collett and Carey Morgan) will help define news filters and fake news; dig into how fake news impacts real news, potentially eroding the credibility and the influence of genuine media outlets; detail direct marketing via news microtargeting; explore automated online message dissemination; and examine how social platforms are trying to filter and combat fake news.

Importantly, they will speak to real-life implications for communications professionals, ensuring our clients are ready for today’s reality.

Before and after the discussion, attendees are encouraged to meet new people, catch up with industry friends, eat, drink and network!

  • Dave Collett is executive vice president and general manager of Weber Shandwick St. Louis.  Dave is a senior leader in the agency’s corporate practice where he counsels clients on  strategic integrated communications with a focus on corporate reputation and crisis communications.
