Get Involved! You'll get to know other talented PR professionals as you contribute to making our chapter great. There are a variety of opportunities to volunteer within our chapter such as becoming a committee member or perhaps demonstrating your organizational and leadership skills by chairing a committee or serving in an elected position.

Accreditation

Promotes Universal Accreditation within the Chapter, provides assistance with preparing for the APR process and encourages members who are eligible for Accreditation to take the exam. Click here to see which local PR pros have already achieved this goal.

 

Communication

Committee is responsible for all internal and external communication, ranging from Board meeting minutes to publicizing upcoming events. In addition, this Committee is responsible for the Chapter’s social media channels and assists with providing content for the website. The Communication Committee also is in charge of community outreach for the Chapter as well as advocating for public relations and PR professionals in/around St. Louis.

Diversity

Increases the membership’s diversity knowledge, increases the minority vendors used by members and increases the diversity of students pursuing a career in public relations.

Ethics

Promotes the PRSA Code of Ethics on the Chapter website and makes them available at monthly luncheons, and reviews Chapter ethics initiatives.

Finance

Assists the treasurer as assigned by the board.

Membership

Committee is responsible for recruiting and welcoming new members as well as retaining members and communicating member benefits and promotions. The Membership Committee also is responsible for working with the PRSSA Chapters in/around St. Louis.

Professional Development & Networking

Committee is responsible for providing professional development and networking opportunities for our membership. This committee will plan and implement such opportunities that support the mission of PRSA St. Louis.

Technology

Committee is responsible for uploading content to the Chapter’s website and keeping it up-to-date. Responsibilities range from web updates, email blasts/distribution and Job Bank posts.
