What was your first job in the industry?
My freshman year in college, I worked as the Publicity Assistant for the University of Missouri Theatre. It was my first PR job, and I loved it so much that I changed my major.

Which communications trend or new tool excites you the most?
Everything is connected, allowing us to create powerful, meaningful communications campaigns.

What is the best piece of career advice you were ever given?
Your job is not to write brochures or get media hits; it's to change the attitudes, opinions and ultimately, behaviors of your target audiences.

Why are you a member of PRSA?
When I started working, I joined PRSA because all the people I most admired in the business were members. I'm still a member because of the professional development, networking and leadership opportunities.
